EXIF (Exchangeable image file format) data is information stored by digital cameras in captured pictures. FotoStation’s default View templates extract this information and display it in the text preview pane in the lower part of the program window. The below table of EXIF codes can be used to create or modify Display templates to extract the information you would like.

It is possible to use Windows system environment variables that refer to particular system folders and even create your own. This way, you can for example create a shared FotoStation configuration where an archive dynamically points to a user's working folder on a server, for example. All it takes is setting up the environment variable in the user's profile and referring to the variable in the FotoStation archive shortcut.
%HOMEPATH% for example refers to \Documents and Settings\{username}, and you can append this path by adding e.g. %HOMEPATH%\My Pictures to create a shortcut that points to the user's My Pictures folder.
