These settings let you enable the built-in FotoWeb homepage. It is identical to the default splash screen with the random marquee that shows when you log into FotoWeb, but it cannot be changed other than through appearance schemes and by ticking the options that are available here. Unlike the default page, the built-in homepage does not start a guest session, so it is practical in FotoWare Cameleon systems which only allow a certain number of concurrent connections.
Show random marquee: Toggles the appearance of the random marquee.
Show search box: Toggles the search box on the homepage.
Show login form: Enables the users to log in from the homepage.
Page auto refresh interval: Sets the interval at which the home page will refresh to display fresh content.
Important: If you have locked out the standard Guest account in the user management, FotoWeb will direct all users accessing the site to the default home page. If your site has also been configured for SSO, your users will be faced with a login box, while they probably expect to see a search box (having already logged in using SSO). To avoid this possible source of confusion, we recommend not locking out the guest user and rather assigning minimal system access permissions to it.
